Blackbody radiation in a nonextensive scenario
نویسندگان
چکیده
An exact analysis of the N-dimensional blackbody radiation process in a nonextensivè a la Tsallis scenario is performed for values of the nonextensive's index in the range (0 < q < 1). The recently advanced " Optimal Lagrange Multipliers " (OLM) technique has been employed. The results are consistent with those of the extensive, q = 1 case. The generalization of the celebrated laws of Planck, Stefan-Boltzmann, and Wien are investigated.

The dust disk of HR 4049 Another brick in the Wall
We present the Spectral Energy Distribution of HR 4049 based on literature data and new continuum measurements at 850 μm. The SED shows variable absorption in the UV, and a large IR excess, both caused by circumstellar dust. The shape of the IR excess from 1 μm all the way down to 850 μm can be nearly perfectly fitted with a single blackbody function at T ≈ 1150 K or alternatively with a sum of...
متن کاملFractal geometry , information growth and nonextensive thermodynamics
This is a study of the information evolution of complex systems by a geometrical consideration. We look at chaotic systems evolving in fractal phase space. The entropy change in time due to the fractal geometry is assimilated to the information growth through the scale refinement. Due to the incompleteness of the state number counting at any scale on fractal support, the incomplete normalizatio...
متن کاملEquipartition and Virial theorems in a nonextensive optimal Lagrange multipliers scenario
We revisit some topics of classical thermostatistics from the perspective of the nonextensive optimal Lagrange multipliers (OLM), a recently introduced technique for dealing with the maximization of Tsallis' information measure. It is shown that Equipartition and Virial theorems can be reproduced by Tsal-lis' nonextensive formalism independently of the value of the nonextensivity index.
متن کاملThermodynamics ’ 0 - th - Law in a nonextensive scenario
Tsallis' thermostatistics [1–14] is by now recognized as a new paradigm for statistical mechanical considerations. However, the generalization of thermo-dynamics' zero-th law to a nonextensive scenario is plagued by difficulties [2]. In this work we suggest a way to overcome this problem.
متن کاملEarly Universe Test of Nonextensive Statistics
Within an early Universe scenario, nonextensive thermostatistics (NET) is investigated on the basis of data concerning primordial Helium abundance. We obtain first order corrections to the energy densities and weak interactions rates, and use them to compute the deviation in the primordial Helium abundance. After compare with observational results, a severe bound is stablished. PACS number(s): ...
